The registration papers are only as good as the breeder who backs them. Therefore always deal with a CSPCA member breeder.

Shar-Pei should ONLY be purchased from breeders who belong to the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America, offer a written contract, has a strict spay/neuter clause for all dogs that go as pets, offer checkable references, screen their dogs for health defects, and will always take the dog back if you are ever unable to keep it.

NEVER BUY A SHAR-PEI FROM A PET STORE or the jockey lot!
